MMRF&EG Welcomes the American Frontier Reenactors Guild as our new professional association in 2006. Our membership with this organization provides individual reenactor liability insurance for us but also the ability to add your named event on our insurance when requested for a nominal fee.
Jim Hatzell is a graduate of the American Academy of Art in his native Chicago, Illinois (he has a degree in Advertising & Design/Illustration). He has a background in acrylic, watercolor and pen-n-ink illustration, but over the last several years has been concentrating on Western Photography.
Derk Hansen has more then 150 limited edition lithographs and collector prints plus over two dozen limited edition collector plates to his credit. There are also scores of incentive and special commission art products on the market bearing his name. Thousands of collectors worldwide enjoy his work.
The Wild West Roundup will be held at the Rice County Steam & Gas Engines grounds in Dundas, Minnesota. This event is a celebration of our American Old West Heritage. Our goal is to keep the colorful history and spirit of the Old West alive and pass it on to future generations to enjoy. Participants and spectators alike will come to be part of this truly American phenomenon.
Mounted Shooting is like barrel racing with balloons in between the barrels. The rider shoots black powder blank cartridges from .45 caliber pistols, at balloons, and is scored on accuracy and time.
